Hi all! Well, maybe I should say you two 'cause that is probably the number of you checking this since I haven't updated it in two months! Anyway, Quinn got his 4 month pictures taken on Sunday. They turned out great! He is such a happy little guy. It is a joy to have him in our lives as he makes each day a little brighter. Here is the link to the pictures http://www.jamiemillerphotography.blogspot.com/. Note that there is a slideshow you can view!
Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and the joy of the season finds you early this year!!

Monthly Updates?
It appears the most frequently I will be able to update this blog will be about once a month. Sorry! Just so you can keep track, Quinn turned 9 weeks this past Sunday and 2 months on Saturday. Seems like it was forever ago when we met him and at the same time it seem like just yesterday. He is starting to interact quite a bit. He's especially smiley in the morning when he wakes, which helps AM grumpies like mom and dad! I hope to get some pictures out here this weekend, so stay tuned!!

Oh, how I suck
Yes. It has been over a month. Horrible, I know. Therefore I thought I would send a little something out to let all of you know that I have NOT forgotten about this blog! I just have to get this stupid accounting class done and then I will have a week to breathe.
Anyway, the quick update is that that Quinn is amazing. Never did I think a little person that couldn't do much more than eat, sleep and poop would be so facinating. Every little thing - sounds, facial expressions, movements - are enthralling. He wiggles his way more into my heart each day.
He is quite healthy at this point, although he was not gaining enough weight at first. He was only 7 lbs, 11 oz on his one month birthday, which is about 1.5 - 2 lbs. under what he should have been. We started to supplement his regular feedings with formula and Quinn-man bulked right up, gaining a pound in a week!
Hope to have more out here for you all soon, but here are some professional photos that were taken at two weeks old - http://www.jamiemillerimages.com/slideshows/Quinn

The End of Day Three
Hi All! Sorry it has been a few days. I could say we've been busy, but you all know that already :o) We came home on Tuesday around one pm and I don't remember much of that day, except going to class that night. For those of you that don't know, I am working on my MBA at Mid-America Nazarene University. It is an accelerated program, so missing a class can put your pretty far behind. Michelle's grandma came by and hung out during class, which made me feel better about being gone for a few hours. Day two was a little rough as Quinn was still figuring out this whole being out of the womb thing - not a lot of sleep, but we made it. Day three has been much better as Quinn ate about every two to three hours and slept between that! Yea! Let's hope this is the start to the happy rhythm of our new family. I will try and get Michelle to blog a little tomorrow, but no promises as she's still pretty tired. Until then..............................

Photos!
I have a few photos to share. If you checked your email earlier today, you may have already seen these, but if not (or even if you have) here they are!
Quinlan Victor Dunham
Quinlan Victor Dunham
Long time, no post
Sorry about that. Here's are the highlights: (1) He now has a name. He has been dubbed QUINLAN VICTOR DUNHAM and will be called Quinn for short. Eventually there may only be one "n," but for now there are two. (2) Michelle and Quinn are getting the hang of the nursing thing. Both are still new at the process, so things are gradually improving. (3) Visitors are more than welcome. Please try and time your visits between 3:45 & 5:30 or after 6:30 today. We'll be heading home tomorrow @ 12:00, so if you wanted to visit in the hospital, today is your last chance. Hope to see many of you soon as we are excited about introducing Quinn to whoever wants to meet him!

No name..........yet
For those of you wondering, no I did not forget to tell the name. We simply don't have one yet. I will post it when we have decided.
He's here!
Our little guy has arrived! He showed up @ 2:43 PM and weighed in @ 7 lbs. & 9.5 oz. measuring 21 inches long. He's got dark blue eyes & curly, dark brown (black?) hair. I will get pictures up when I can.
A little rest, a little better
Michelle & I got another 1 to 2 hours of rest thanks to the epidural. Unfoetunately, things were still going slowly, so we allowed the nurse to try and speed things up with petosin (sp?) It seems to be working (Michelle is now at a 7) but the contractions are much more intense. Right now please continue to pray for Michelle's comfort. She's been at this for over 28 hours now and hasn't complained a bit. I am so proud of her and pray that things will hurry along to little dude's arrival. Please continue to hang in there with us. I will update as soon as I can. Thanks to all of you praying & thinking about us and little dude.
A little sleep, hoping for more
Michelle and I got about 90 min. of shut-eye, before her IV wore off around 5:30 this morning. We made some progress during that time as we are now at a 5 and 90%! Yea, Michelle. We got the okay for the epidural (which went smoothly) and she's had her water broken. We are now back to trying to get some more rest. In closing, we'd like to ask you all to pray that things begin to pick up regarding Michelle's contractions. They need to be two to three minutes apart and right now they are about seven. Thanks for all of your support and I will update later this morning.
Getting Some Rest
We're taking a little break from everything with the help of some IV drugs. This wasn't what we had hoped for, but it was necessary for Michelle to get some rest. We are still at a 4, so the progress has slowed. I doubt many of you are up right now, but when you read this please pray that this is the only dose of an IV drug Michelle has to have. We need to get to a 5 before things will really start progrssing. Michelle has fallen asleep, so I am going to do the same. Stay tuned...................
The Two Towers
I just have to share w/ you all how cool my wife is. I mean, how many women do you know would choose a movie as cool as Lord of the Rings to preoccupy them during labor?

Due Date Arrival
Well, it is offically our little guy's projected due date and he may very well show up on time (which is much more taking after his mother than his father :o). Michelle is at a 4 and about 85% effeaced. She is doing such an amazing job. More 2 come!
Simply Waiting
Nothing much new to report except the contractions are intensifying. Michelle is handling all of this like a champ.
Progress
My sweet wife is now a 3 & 80% effaced. Moving along nicely. I won't be answering my phone too often from here on out, so please text or check the blog!
We're staying
Yep. We are here for the duration. Michelle is having some bloodwork done. My wife sure can bleed - in a good way :o)
Update
Michelle is at a 2 and 70 percent effaced (sp?). We will know within the next 30 minutes or so whether we're staying.
Soon?
Michelle wanted to wait until she was sure, otherwise I would have posted before now. She woke up about 4 this morning and said the contractions had started and were 15 minutes apart. I thought, "Well either I sleep now and not later or don't sleep now and don't sleep later." I chose option A and went back to sleep after I made sure she was doing okay. We've made our way through the day getting ready to go and watching "America's Got Talent." That may be a misnomer. We'll update when we leave for the hospital!

D-day minus 2
Today was my last day of work in the office for a while. What a weird feeling...but good, too. Just one more milestone on the road toward actually having the baby. I'm sure it sounds crazy, but it's still hard to believe that I'm really going to have a baby and not be perpetually pregnant.
On the upside for some of my colleagues, my last day of work in the office also signals the definite end of any possibility that they will be responsible for getting me to the hospital if I go into labor at work.
In an effort to savor our last pre-baby moments rather than spend our time obsessing over when he will arrive, we went to dinner at The Salty Iguana and then split a concrete at Sheridan's. (There is nothing like being pregnant to justify such a caloric splurge!) Now we're off to watch a movie (rental)...

Hello All
Thanks for coming to our little corner of the web! Over the next few days we plan to do our best keeping you all up to date on the arrival of our little guy. He is due to show up this Sunday, but as many of you know that is more up to him than us.
Right now, Michelle is dilated to a "good" one and 50 - 70% effaced, which is some progress from last week. She's pretty uncomfortable, so a lot of her comments these days (between naps) are encouraging words to our little guy. My favorite quote so far is, "I know you're in there, hanging out, getting all fat and healthy, but you could do that out here as well as in there."
Anyway, I am not sure who'll do more of the writing on here, but we hope you find it enjoyable to follow along on the last leg of our little journey into becoming a family.
